Study Program

A. Jewish culture and history: the basics

In the first year of their B.A. studies, the Program’s students take introductory courses offered by the six departments of The Mandel Institute of Jewish Studies, as well as two interdisciplinary courses, unique to the Program: Readings in Jewish culture: pre-modern times, and  Readings in Jewish culture: the modern era.

B. ‘Major’ in one of the fields of Jewish studies

In the second and third years of their B.A. studies, the Program’s students focus on one of the fields of Jewish studies, taking advanced courses offered by the relevant department. Alternatively, a student can have ‘Major’ which combines clusters of courses offered by various departments, all related to a cross-disciplinary topic.
