About
The Program in Jewish Studies is a multi-disciplinary program for B.A. students interested in Jewish culture and history, from their ancient origins until present times, as studied in a variety of academic fields. The Program’s students take part in courses offered by the six departments which constitute The Mandel Institute of Jewish Studies: Bible, Talmud and Halakhah, Jewish History and Contemporary Jewry, Hebrew Language, Hebrew Literature, and Jewish Thought.
Part of the core curriculum requirements of the Revivim Honors Teacher-Training Program in Jewish Studies, The Program in Jewish Studies also welcomes every Hebrew University student willing to broaden and deepen his or her knowledge and understanding of Judaism as a multi-faceted cultural and historical phenomenon, rooted in the remote past yet deeply relevant to the present and future.
